Noto has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site thanks to its beauty and uniqueness.
This town has been labeled the capital of Sicilian Baroque.
The food tradition here is keenly heartfelt and genuine; almonds are of extremely high quality and are used for the preparation of the pasta reale, a main ingredient for Cassata (a typical Sicilian semifreddo) and Martorana Fruit (a kind of marzipan shaped like fruits and flavoured with honey, lemon or orange).
The association Effetto Noto gathers and promotes all summer events dedicated to music, art, theatre, literature, history, culinary arts and ancient traditions.
Various initiatives have been created also for tourists with sensory disabilities.
